I love volpina... I'm mostly gonna keep her design the same but change it to be a more red hue.

Ok so I guess I should say... Marinette has cousins! lol. I have always felt like Adriens family is so important to the miraculous plot, but Marinettes was just swept to the side with nothingburgerness. Sabertoothwalrus on tumblr has a character thats marinettes older brother, and ive taken him as my own but made him slightly different. Louis and Bridgette are fraternal twins, with Louis being raised in China and Bridgette being raised... all over the place. to start at the beginning- Sabine has an older brother and lives with her parents, her Uncle Fu living nearby, a linguistic professor. Through ways not yet made up, Sabine breaks off from her family and runs away to France, cutting off ties from her family. years later, when her older brothers wife has twins, they have to get away from China's one child policy. their uncle Fu takes the girl with him and leaves the country to search for Sabine so that eventually the whole family can reunite again, going to major cities in Australia, Germany, and eventually France looking for Sabine. Bridgette grows up feeling untethered from peers her age, making online friends and being friends with Fu's linguistic students. She only has a family to look forward to, a brother she has never known and an aunt to look for. They eventually find Tom and Sabine when Bridgette is around 12 or so, settling in and living with Tom and Sabine, sending word back to Bridgettes parents. years later, at the start of the show, Louis has come to Paris for college and meets his sister and extended family for the first time, living with them while his parents are trying to sort out business at home and sort out visas. Louis and Bridgette don't know how to form a sibling relationship with eachother, but want to so badly, while also both trying to maintain a relationship with kid cousin Marinette. Bridgette is the first akuma, and despite all odds it brings the twins closer, even when Bridgette is ostracised for the time. Months later, Louis finds out that Marinette is Ladybug. This discovery brings them together closer as Louis tracks LB worried about her, using his journalism major as a reason to chase akumas. Chasing akumas leads him to strike a deal with marinettes friend the ladyblogger, her older sister Anansi being worried about her safety while Alya stil wants to go. Louis crushes hard on Anansi, and promises to look after Alya and helps Alya with becoming a journalist for the ladyblog. Louis and Marinettes secret creates a rift between him and bridgette, them not able to truly connect, Bridgette feeling left out of the family she has been looking forward to all her life. Tensions snap when a year or so later, their parents are able to move to France, temporarily making the Dupain Cheng household incredibly full. Bridgette feels stifled by parents she has never known, unkown by her brother and cousin, and scared about where the future leads. anyways thats what I got for the cousins lol

I was watching season 4 and thought it was funny how wildly the hair shifts in hue, so I thought it would be funny if mari dyed her hair, either for fun or to avoid LB suspicions lol

I have a few rules for akumas, especially of the main class. especially in season 1, we are thrust into a world with a lot of characters they want us to care about, and each episode a character is akumatized is supposed to be an introduction of the character, a sort of way to show why we care about them. Gamer, Horrificator, Reflekta, and Bubbler are all episodes I would say do great at this, while characters like Kim, Sabrina, and Ivan are all sort of left behind imo. I am redoing a few akumas completely (kim, sabrina, nino), and just revamping some designs (reflekta, princess fragrance, antibug). obviously I love a lot of the og akuma, its just I want to give things my own spin and things.

"oh my gosh why does QB have 4 arms lol" ok so bare with me here. in S1 we are shown so many cat features that Adrien just... has. advanced hearing, claws, night vision, possibly a better sense of smell... and no other hero gets ANYTHING. the closest we get is peacock heroes get freaky skin tones instead of masks. I was really wanting to have a lot of people have animal features... so I did lol. LB has wings that are functional, QB has 4 arms, CN still has nightvision, RN has a good sense of smell, Carapace can breathe underwater, HM has butterfly eyes, Mayura will have many eyes, and felix will have peacock claws. It's all part of a plan my guys

some WIPs of CNs design, I was pretty conflicted with a few options.

The problem with cat heroes is that most of them draw from DCs Cat Woman. I love CatWoman, but she is an adult and Adrien is a child. One of the things I wanted to get away from when redesigining ALL the heroes is the sexualization in especially Rena R and Chat N, while also keeping the fun from their og uniforms and some of my own fun. I wanted to play with a big jacket to see if it would be a cool silhouette, but I ended up really liking big pants that sort of mimic a cats haunch legs. something that has always annoyed me about OG CN is that he has both gold and silver accents, so I limited myself to just gold to match his hair, and I brought the green eyes down to his tail, belt, and inside hoodie.

I am still working on his design, I am not yet happy with it.
